PES 2017 smoke patch 9.8.0 + 9.8.2 (World Cup edition)
Smoke patch 9.8.0 for pes 2017, please read the release notes before you install this software
this version database is converted from smoke patch X20.

Full version and updates:
Usually when the changes in the patch exceeds 3GB we opt for a full version, this is the case in this version, 9.8 is all in one version and no previous versions is needed, this version will have multi updates in the future, one is expected during the world cup to update squads and some kits, and other updates for the new season, this will be decided later on.
X20 Database:
9.8 shares the database of X20 software, this means all the players and stats, teams, kits, squads and all database related files are directly converted from pes 2018 smoke patch X20.
this patch also shares the graphics, stadium effects and more features from patch 2018.
New national teams:
Total number of national teams are now 133, we added 20 new nationals, all the teams and clubs added can be used in all game modes and can be selected in all national competitions.

Balls, boots and gloves:
A lot of graphic updates in this version, including updated models for balls, boots and gloves.
Faces and Tattoos:
This version have a huge face upgrade, total faces added in smoke patch 9.8 is around 4300 faces, all faces are optimized for best performance and faster fps.
we included a lot of tattoos in this version, more than 400 players have correct tattoos and all are 100% compatible and does not conflict with the patch system files
World Cup Squads:
The squads for the national teams are mostly updated, some teams still needs some correction when all teams announces their world cup call-ups, there will be a small update to complete the world cup teams.
Kits:
A lot of kits update in this version, all kits are converted from X20, and any kits update we make will be included in both versions in updates.

Installation:
- Extract patch files
download all parts and be sure all are completed, extract only part one the rest will be extracted automatically, don't move any of the installation files or folders.
- Run Setupsmoke980.exe
run the installer and choose PES 2017 installation folder, the patch must be installed in the same game folder, be sure you don't get errors and that the installer finished successfully.

Main fixes in update 9.8.1:
- Fixed double teams:
due to a conversion mistake, some teams in Italian and Spanish leagues are missing or duplicated, this is now fixed and restored to default, if you started ML with 9.8 then you might have to start a new one after installing this software for the changes to take effect, if you started ML before 9.8 you can continue normally.
- Fixed some faces:
due to the big number of faces we couldn't test all of them, some reported faces needed immediate fixing that this update will make.
- Fixed some kits:
some kits have a collar problem (Argentina home kit and others), this is because new collar from pes 2018 might not be present in 2017, this is fixed in this update.
also created kits for Paris FC, their kits where not correct.
- Fixed some tattoos:
tattoos are newly added and might need some tweaking, this update applies some corrections following reports.
- Fixed emirates stadium:
some reports of bug at the end of a game in the emirates stadium, this should be corrected now.

- download and extract (Updatesmoke981.rar)
- run (Updatesmoke981.exe) and select game folder
Main fixes in update 9.8.2:
In addition to the changes from update 9.8.1 (which is included in this update), here are the changes that this important update brings:
- Graphics Enhancements:
fixed some various minor issue, added some new features most notably added FIFA world cup real trophy.
- Fixed Medium quality tattoos:
since this is the first time we add tattoos in smoke patch 2017, it was expected to have some rough edges, some faces had some deformation and now they are fixed, but the biggest problem was that the tattoos works only with high quality, when playing medium or low quality the players with tattoos will get error (arms shows like long sleeves) when they are far from the camera, we have created a new tattoos system files that works with medium and low as well as high quality.
- Fixed problem with ACL competition:
it was reported that the Asian champions does not continue when it reaches the knockout faze, this was due to a small problem with the acl system file, it is now fixed and works as it should.
- Fixed occasional crash at the end of game:
we got reports about the game not being able to finish when playing at anfield or Emirates stadium, after many tests, this is now fixed and the game starts and finishes as it should.
- Installation:
- download and extract (Updatesmoke982.rar)
- run (Updatesmoke982.exe) and select game folder
NOTES:
- any other installation method is wrong.
- changing the patch files is at your own risk.
- updating the game EXE is not the patch responsibility.
- no previous versions required, only the game and this version.
- this patch is made to focus on offline modes, online features will not find opponents due the difference between the patch system files and the default game.
